Saturday Morning Adventures
Since I keep alluding to this story, yet not having the time to explain the full circumstances to everyone, I figured my Saturday morning shenanigans were worthy of a blog post...
Friday night, I had a late event for work and didn't stay at my house. I returned home on Saturday morning around 9am and walked in my room to find a random dude in my bed. I figured a roommate had a friend over and let him crash, so asked either of them if they had invited him over... turns out neither of my roommates had any idea who the guy was, nor did I. We quickly realized that NONE of us had any clue who he was, and with 3 girls in the house alone with random dude, panic ensued.
I called the cops, having no idea what else to do. 4 cop cars quickly showed up at my house (quite the spectacle in PacHeights...). Cops rushed up into my room and woke the guy up with guns drawn, pointed directly at him. They then handcuffed him and questioned him. Turns out he was WASTED, thought our house was his house (he lives right down the street) and somehow made it up the stairs, into my room, and passed out - all thinking that he was in his own home. It was his 30th birthday and he'd been out drinking with friends and doesn't remember anything. We have no idea how he actually got in (all the doors were deadbolted) and he has no idea how he got in (TOTALLY blackout drunk).
The cops were great, and the whole incident was pretty hilarious once we realized there was nothing malicious or ill-intentioned by drunk dude. We've all been drunk and done stupid stuff... well, maybe not THAT stupid. The guy is totally mortified, and we have a pretty great story to show for it. I did, however, have to blow $400 on all new bedding.
